The California Towhee painting was used on the cover of The High Country Magazine No. 80  published by the Temecula Valley Museum. The High Country was originally published from 1967 to 1984, it was revised in 2002. Temecula resident Erle Stanley Gardner was a regular contributor to The High Country. Sam Hicks, Gardner's, Rancho Paisano manager was one of the founders of the magazine. Ralph Love, internationally recognized landscape artist, was the staff artist.

I feel quite honored to have been asked to contribute to this historical publication.
